'Some Girls at International Project Space' convenes a forum, within the context of Patrick Staff's exhibition ‘A Factory as it Might Be’, that seeks to develop new dialogues around the Some Girls poster project.

The Some Girls project was undertaken in the early 1980s by the Madeley Young Women's Writing and Design Group facilitated by Carola Adams with Graham Peet and Jonnie Turpie. The outcome of the collaboration was a set of 9 posters, developed around the experiences of the young women involved and underpinned by an inter-generational and collective ethos.

Carola Adams and Graham Peet will be present for the event on the 24 April 2013 when there will also be a screening of the film, Giro-Is this the modern world?. The film, produced by the Birmingham Film and Video Workshop in 1984, has its roots in the modes of production explored during the Some Girls project.

Inheritance Projects have been invited by Sarai-CSDS - a Delhi based-space for research, practice and conversation about the contemporary media and urban constellations - to participate in Sarai Reader 09: Episode 2.

Sarai Reader 09 is a nine month exhibition curated by Raqs Media Collective that will unfold as a process of generative of visions, concepts, speculations and projections.

To coincide with Tris Vonna-Michell's exhibition Ulterior Vistas at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, Inheritance Projects will host a curator's talk and tour of National Trust property Gibside. Tris Vonna-Michell presents a new narrative installation resulting from his residency at Gibside from 20 October 2012 at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art. Whilst in residence Vonna-Michell engaged with the historical and present day context of the pleasure grounds. The resulting work has developed - as is typical of the artist - from research into orchestrated relationships between humans and nature, focussing on the changing aesthetic, structure and function of the site over time.

Inheritance Projects will present artist Margareta Kern's film

GUESTures / GOSTlkulacije followed by a Q&A with the artist as part of Peckham Artist Moving Image 2012.

GUESTures / GOSTIkulacije, is part of a series of works that stem from artist's long-term ethnographic, archival and historical research and interviews with the migrant worker women in Berlin, who were part of an organised mass labour migration, from the socialist Yugoslavia to West-Germany, in the late 1960s.
